VMF Series

Gel-Pak’s 2” x 2” VMF series tray is designed to safely immobilize Fast Axis Collimating (FAC) lenses during shipping and handling with minimal contact to the device active area. The unique carrier geometry uses the holding forces of our proprietary Vertec TPE elastomer in select contact areas to secure these valuable optics.

  • Contact area <10% of the device on the end regions only.
    No contact to middle regions of FAC.
  • Ultra-low residue
  • Tray available with 5 channels (6 raised strips of TPE). Can be extended to 7 channels
  • Tunable holding force by optimizing material tack and/or contact area
  • Suitable for automated pick & place or manual processes
  • Contact area is highly customizable and not limited to specific device shape
