Gel-Probe™

Pak’s Gel-Probe cleaning and polishing sheets and wafers provide effective cleaning solutions for a wide range of probe card cleaning applications. Our Gel-Probe ReFine, Gel-Probe ReMove, and Gel-Probe ReCover products are used during parametric test & wafer sort operations to extend the life of today’s advanced probe cards, while also helping to improve yields and minimize prober downtime.

– 200 and 300 mm wafers
Elastomer ReMove = Non abrasive Gel elastomer
ReFine & Recover = Abrasive Gel elastomer

Gel-Probe Remove Probe Card Cleaning Wafers and Sheets

Gel-Probe ReMove Wafers and Sheets consist of a proprietary Gel elastomer cleaning material offered in sheet and 200mm/300 mm wafer format.

  • Removes and captures loose particles on probe tip, tip length, and electrical contact area of the tip created during probing process
  • Non-conductive, non-corrosive
  • Gently cleans the entire probe surface, tip length, and shaft in a non-destructive manner
  • Does not transfer residue to probes or bond pads
  • Only exerts force on probes in “Z” (vertical) direction – less than that imparted during normal test conditions with no lateral force applied to probe tips
  • Standard and custom construction available

Gel-Probe ReFine Probe Tip Polishing Wafers and Sheets

Gel-Probe Refine wafers and sheets consist of a proprietary Gel elastomer polishing material uniformly blended with abrasive particles offered in sheet and 200mm/300mm wafer format.

  • Removes embedded and bonded debris from probe tips
  • Captures loose particles created during probing process
  • Lightly polishes the entire probe surface, tip length, and shaft in a non-destructive manner
  • Non-conductive, non-corrosive
  • Does not transfer residue to probes or bond pads
  • Exerts force on probes in only “Z” (vertical) direction and the force is less than that imparted during normal test conditions with no lateral force applied to probe tips
  • Standard and custom construction available

Gel-Probe ReCover Probe Tip Reshaping Wafers and Sheets

Gel-Probe Refine wafers and sheets consist of a proprietary Gel elastomer material uniformly blended with abrasive particles offered in sheet and 200mm/300mm wafer format.

  • Reshaping 200mm and 300mm SEMI standard silicon wafer or sheet
  • Can be easily implemented into a probe card build process to form radius tips
  • Can be implemented into a probe card maintenance cycle to restore worn or deformed prove tips.
  • Non-conductive, non corrosive
  • Does not transfer residue to probes or bond pads
  • Standard and custom constructions available
