Gel-Pak® to Showcase Advanced Device Protection and Probe Cleaning Innovations at SWTest Asia 2025

HAYWARD, CA NOVEMBER 3, 2025: Gel-Pak®, a Delphon company and leader in high-performance device carriers and probe cleaning solutions, is proud to announce its participation at SWTest Asia 2025, taking place in Tokyo, Japan. Attendees can visit Booth 504 to explore Gel-Pak’s latest innovations designed to enhance semiconductor test efficiency and device protection.

At the exhibit, Gel-Pak will feature its Gel-Pak® device carriers, engineered to safeguard sensitive components during handling and transport, and its Gel-Probe™ cleaning materials, which are revolutionizing probe card maintenance with advanced elastomer-based technologies.

As part of the technical program, Dr. Victoria Tran, Gel-Pak’s Director of R&D and , will deliver a presentation titled: “Innovative Cleaning Wafer Strategies to Enhance Memory Probing Efficiency.” The presentation is the result of a collaboration between Dr. Tran and Keiichi Ryu, Miki Nomura, and Tomonao Nakashima of JEM Japan.

This talk will address the challenges of probe debris buildup during massively parallel memory testing and introduce Gel-Pak’s novel hybrid cleaning wafer. This one-step solution integrates soft polymer and hard abrasive domains to optimize cleaning execution, reduce contact resistance (CRES), and extend probe card life—ultimately improving wafer yield and lowering test costs.

Dr. Tran will share performance data from extended cleaning touchdowns using full wafer probe cards, demonstrating that Gel-Pak’s hybrid wafer achieves cleaning efficiency and probe tip shaping comparable to traditional two-step methods, while significantly reducing cleaning time and complexity.
