Product Spotlight: H-Mesh Gel-Pak VR Tray

For over 30 years, Gel-Pak has been at the forefront of developing unique carrier products that meet the needs of high technology industries. The H-Mesh Vacuum Release Tray, for example, is a product ideally suited for shipping and handling fragile high aspect ratio devices such as laser bars, modulators, and optical devices with delicate end coatings.

The H-Mesh VR-44 Tray is based on Gel-Pak's patented Vacuum Release Technology. In place of a full field VR surface, a modified mesh geometry in the shape of the letter "H" is used.

While still providing all of the proven shipping and handling benefits of the standard VR tray, the H-Mesh provides the additional benefits of:

  • No contact to end surfaces of the device
  • Device can be off-loaded from the underside, if needed
  • Selective GEL contact area
  • Reduced off-loading force
