General Packaging Products

If Gel is required, please refer to the Gel-Box product family. Plastic Hinged Boxes (Without Gel)Gel-Pak has designed its own line of high quality plastic hinged boxes in conductive polypropylene (C), Transparent Antistatic (AS), and Clear Styrene (T) materials. The Gel-Pak design uses a 4-ball hinge design for increased reliability and an improved front clasp mechanism that is easier to open and close. These boxes used, in the Gel-Box, Gel-Tray, Gel-Slide, and VR product lines, are also available as carrier boxes (no Gel) for general packaging requirements. In addition, Gel-Pak supplies both foam and fabric inserts for each box size. 2" x 2" x 0.25"

Foam Material Foam is typically used during general packaging applications where a device is stored in a plastic box and foam is compressed in the box lid to immobilize the device. Gel-Pak offers an open cell low-density polyurethane foam material in both conductive black and non-conductive blue configurations. Pre-cut foam pieces are readily available for most plastic hinged box sizes. Custom sized foam is also available. Membrane Boxes Membrane Boxes are recommended for devices or large objects that have an irregular shape or non-flat contact surface. Membrane Boxes are constructed using a thin, highly elastic transparent polyether polyurethane membrane mounted to the top and bottom halves of a symmetrical POLYREX ® PG-33 clear polystyrene hinged box. When the box is closed, the device is suspended between the two membranes which conform to the device shape and securely hold it in place. The high optical transparency of the membrane box packaging allows for inspection and visual checks without having to open up the box. The reusable membrane boxes and are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes which are displayed at our membrane box page.
