FAQ #1: How do I determine the recommended Gel-Pak product for my application?
Gel-Pak offers an online Product Selection Wizard Program to assist you in determining the optimum product for your application.


FAQ#2: What is the basic difference between the Gel-Box (AD), Gel-Tray (BD), Gel-Slide (CD) and Vacuum Release (VR) carriers?
The Gel Box, Gel Tray, and Gel Slide products are intended for manual applications where devices are handled with tweezers or by hand. The VR products are intended for use (automated, semi-auto, or manual) with vacuum pick-up tips.


FAQ#3: What is a Gel retention level (Xn)? What retention level should I use?
The Gel Retention Level is the tackiness of the Gel material. Gel-Pak manufactures a wide range of tack levels. The optimum retention level required is dependent on the device size and the backside material type, surface roughness, and flatness.


FAQ#4: What is Gel made of?
The Gel is a highly cross-linked polymer material. The exact chemical contents of the Gel is proprietary information.


FAQ#5: I have a Gel-Pak part number, what is the product?
The Part Number Description web page will provide a complete description of the Gel-Pak standard products.


FAQ#6: Do you have standard Print Grids for the Gel-Pak products?
Gel-Pak offers numerous Standard Prints type for each product line. If an existing print does not meet your needs, a custom print can be created.


FAQ#7: Is Gel-Pak an ISO Certified Company?
Yes, Gel-Pak is a ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company


FAQ#8: What tests have been conducted on the Gel-Pak products?
Gel-Pak has a library of Technical Datasheets available upon request.


FAQ#9: What is the shelf life for the Gel?
The published shelf life for the Gel material is a minimum of 2 years.


FAQ#10: Are there any limits on the device size the Gel-Pak carriers can handle?
Gel-Pak carriers are successfully used with devices from 8 mils (200um ) to 12 inches (300mm).


FAQ#11: How many of my die will fit in a Gel-Pak?
The Product Selection Wizard program will calculate the number of devices that fit in a Gel-Pak carrier.


FAQ#12: What are the available sizes for the Gel-Film WF products?
The WF Gel-Film sheet sizes are cut to order. Sizes up to 20" are available. Special high accuracy die-cut sizes are also available upon request.
